Hive is a great, great game. Just yesterday the price for the iOS version was dropped to free, so go pick it up!
It’s really not too bad at all. Has the optional Mosquito, P2P, AI, and Two player hotseat.

This is something I thought was pretty interesting. Days of Wonder is holding a contest to design a new map for theirĀ Ticket to Ride board game. Fans are challenged to design a new map with the best designed taking home a cash prize of $10,000!

Long Shot – A Review

In summary, Long Shot is a horse racing/betting game with a whole lot of luck and not a whole lot of strategy. Even with this high luck/low control you can get right into the game and be yelling and cheering for your favourite horse.

I picked this up at Origins after a quick demo at the Z-Man booth and ended up getting 3 games in (2, 5, and 6 players). The box says it plays 3-8 but I actually played it successfully with 2. The time on the box is correct, and it will play in about 45-60 minutes (including explanation!).

Introduction

Supernova is a game where each player is a civilization living in a solar system with a sun that is about to go supernova. Each player takes control of a unique race and must abandon their planet and make a mad rush for new solar systems before their home is destroyed. The thing is each other player is trying to do the same thing so conflict will most definitely happen. You need to carefully balance your investment in technologies to be the victor.
